I'm finally offering prints of my work again. Made by myself with a professional inkjet printer and the best paper I could find, to ensure a museum grade print with maximum longevity.
All my prints are made using acid-free, 100% archival materials with long-lasting pigment based inks. Images are fine-tuned by me and printed on small batches that I will be adding here every now and then. They have a small white margin around the edges and are signed on the back.
Although the stock may seem limited, they are an open edition. For now I will be offering A3+ size prints, A4 and 7x5" (18x13cm).
PAPER
I tried many of the considered best photo papers out there, and after comparing I picked one that really stood out to me: the Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag. This paper has that beautiful finish of the baryta papers, but with an even nicer, more premium feel to the hand. Its subtle texture and surface reminds of a darkroom air dried b&w silver gelatin paper. It has that classic look and feel.
Its smooth, satin finish provides a touch of gloss for richer blacks but not so much that it becomes reflective.
It is a museum grade paper, with a 310gsm weight, acid free, 100% cotton and with no optical brightening agents. It complies with ISO 9706 standard, a guarantee of maximum longevity.
This paper is more expensive than most other papers out there, but the difference in quality is really noticeable. Once I printed with it I could not go back to one of the average ones. It simply looks and feels better.
PRINTER
Prints are made on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300, a professional photo printer that uses the latest LUCIA PRO pigment inks. These inks meet the highest archival standards, and when used on a quality paper with no optical brightening agents, like the Canson Platine, these prints will last over 200 years framed under UV glass.
"This 10-colour pigment ink printer uses the unique Chroma Optimizer, that gives photographs a uniform glossiness which regulates surface reflection to prevent bronzing effect for a professional-lab look and feel." And now in English: Print quality is absolutely outstanding.
